12 – 24 Long Die & Cool Plug Change

Cool Plug Install

  1. Check and install process air line(s).
  2. Locate the cool plug, using the two straps in the box, lift cool plug out of box and replace gasket on rear of cool plug, then attach the cool plug to the die using bolts inside the plug. (Picture 4.1)

  3. Blow out all water and vacuum lines with air gun.
  4. Reinstall plumbing with blue – blue, red – red, green – green
    1. Check and install vacuum zone lines
    2. Check and install water lines and light on front, check for leaks!
    3. Check and install cuff air line.
    4. Verify cuff air around the inner wall caliper is equal all the way around
      1. If not, troubleshoot the issue and repair or replace what is faulty
    5. Verify process air between the inner and outer wall caliper is equal all the way around
      1. If not, troubleshoot the issue and repair or replace what is faulty
    6. Verify all vacuum solenoids are working properly
      1. If not, repair or replace
  5. Plug in all heater bands and turn control panels back on and monitor the heat numbers to make sure they are working and coming up to temp correctly. (Picture 4.2)

  6. After die has been heating for four hours go back and retorque all bolts on rear die plate to ensure no leak
  7. Add anti-seize and install die stand front plate bolts, leave bolts loose, then set tube adjustment using 8 set screws on die stand and tighten set screws, and then tighten die stand front plate bolts in crisscross pattern.
  8. Move to start up check list.
