What: A procedure to adjust the 3 types of die adjustments and the 1 type of tube adjustment

When: Uneven flow on inner or outer wall

Why Use: To assist making adjustments on die or tube

This explanation will be for a mic that shows wall thickness is too thin on the bottom.

  1. Looking at mic sheet, determine which way the adjustment needs to be before starting and how much.
  2. Loosen bolts on ring in front of caliper two turns.
  3. Loosen the bolt on top, top vacuum side, and top operator side by 1/8 to 1/4 of a turn on the caliper.
  4. Tighten the bolt on bottom 1st, tighten the top 2nd, tighten both sides evenly, and then tighten the rest of the bolts on the caliper.
  5. Tighten the bolts on the ring in front of the caliper in a crisscross pattern.
  6. Purge and Start up line, do mic check as soon as possible and repeat steps if needed
