Heater Bands: Pre-Heat check list

PROCESS AIR & CUFF AIR:

  1. Verify the cool plug gasket is properly installed and seated
    • For this system to work correctly this must be done!
  2. Verify the air lines are properly installed and connected 0
    • For this system to work correctly this must be done!
  3. Verify if issues were found during cool plug and air line installation and the fixes made
  4. Clean air regulator/filter.
  5. Clean the proportion valves and filters.
  6. Ensure the die process air ports are clear.
  7. Verify the gap between cool plug and die is sufficient for cuff air flow.
    • Note: the 48” cool plug must be installed with washers.
  8. Verify the functionality of the die process air ports by cycling through different air pressures while the corrugator mold blocks are positioned in the pipe forming zone.
    • Note: Actual air pressures shown on the gauges won’t accurately represent the touch screen settings unless one is producing pipe
    • Gauge should change with each setting change
  9. Verify the functionality of the cuff air by cycling through different air pressures while the corrugator mold blocks are positioned in the cuff forming zone.
    • Note: Actual air pressures shown on the gauges won’t accurately represent the touch screen settings unless one is producing pipe
    • Gauges should change with each setting change.
