Loading Mold Blocks
1. Make sure the corrugator is prepared for the upcoming pipe size diameter.
2. Pay attention to the block arrangement/cuff map to make sure you install the blocks in the correct order. The maps for cuff block arrangement can be found the “production” folder in the “PLASTICS LAB DOCUMENT” files.
3. Select the “MOLD CHANGE OPTION” from the screen (Image 1)
4. Place the mold block on the platform (USE CRANE IF NECESSARY) and inspect for cleanliness (wipe down/clean if necessary). Add oil to the platform. Slide the mold block by hand onto the exchanger guides as far as possible.
5. Use the “POSITION MOLD” button to perfectly position the carrier into the proper load position. (Image 2)
6. Push the “LOAD MOLD” (Image 2) button until the push rods touch the mold blocks. Have a 2nd person verify the push rods are touching the blocks at the top & bottom. IF NOT, DO NOT CONTINUE WITHOUT MAINT APPROVAL.
7. Bump the “LOAD MOLD” button until the mold block is staring onto the carrier. DO NOT HOLD DOWN THE “LOAD MOLD” BUTTON! Have the 2nd person verify that the mold block has transitioned onto the carrier. Continue bumping the “LOAD MOLD” button and observing the mold block transition onto the carrier. (Image 3 & 4)
8. Physically check that the mold block is fully engaged with the center carrier before moving onto the next block.
9. Use the “UNLOAD MOLD” button to retract the rods back to their original position.
10. Skip a carrier using the “POSITION MOLD”, and repeat steps 6 thru 9 until the full mold block arrangement is complete.
